ECI Group is currently recruiting an Asset Management Analyst responsible for reviewing, analyzing and monitoring the performance of a portfolio of multifamily assets. Working with asset managers, this role will assist with developing and reviewing annual budgets, leases, and financial statements to make recommendations and forecast asset performance. We're looking for a data savvy individual with a strong analytical mindset and the willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

  • Review, monitor, and report on the performance of a portfolio of multifamily assets against budget and investment proforma by analyzing monthly financial statements, leasing reports, market data, and operating reports.
  • Assist with developing and reviewing annual capital budgets and operating budgets.
  • Research variances; prepare reports for investment principals, debt, and equity partners.
  • Monitor investment performance and returns; forecast asset performance relative to debt/equity hurdles as well as underwritten return parameters.
  • Research and analyze market, economic and capital trends as well as other factors impacting portfolio and asset performance.
  • Review and monitor the progress of capital projects to determine if projects are occurring on-time and on-budget.
  • Analyze ROI, including rent premiums attained from capital initiatives.
  • Analyze effectiveness of revenue-enhancing and expense-containing initiatives at the property and portfolio levels.
  • Identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and, as appropriate, implement procedures, processes, or tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Keep abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry by following professional publications, attending internal and external training programs, and gathering information from relevant sources.
  • Occasionally conduct physical inspections of both the interior and exterior of apartment communities.
  • Complete various other ad hoc analysis related to operational and financial metrics as assigned.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Requirements:

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare and explain financial data to business leaders, team members, clients, investors, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to participate in meetings, conduct on-site visits and perform site tours.
  • Strong financial acumen; ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports in accordance with accounting, finance, budgeting and cost control principles.
  • Knowledge of multifamily real estate industry preferred.
