About the Role

The Director of Compensation will lead a team that conducts compensation related technical accounting (US GAAP) support, global compensation operational improvement and enhancement, consolidated reporting and analysis of global compensation programs.
What You'll Do

  • Support accounting and reporting. This includes bonus, commissions, stock compensation, and incentive and performance plans.
  • Improve processes, controls and systems and balance efficiency related to compensation plans.
  • Responsible for key internal financial reports; including the working with Business Finance (Financial Planning) to explain variances.
  • Maintain compliance of compensation plans by providing technical accounting guidance, primarily on ASC 710 and ASC 718.

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. CPA will be a plus.
  • Eight years of related experience, with a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience and 4 years in a large global company in a corporate controllership function.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication-presentation skills.
  • Self- starter with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare clear, concise financial reports.
  • Broad, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards (FASB), theories, & practices.
  • Demonstrated experience & knowledge of financial issues, terms, principles & economic impact beyond technical knowledge.
  • Decisions made with detailed understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and timelines. Responsible for setting project timelines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
