THE OPPORTUNITY:

 

This position will report directly to the VP of Development and will include regular interaction with members of the development, acquisitions, financing, asset management and accounting teams.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Experience with entitlement, plan processing, permitting, planning and zoning concepts and processes is required.

 

  • Must have strong experience creating/ updating of investment proformas, budgets, schedules, cash flow templates, cash flow projections, and management of underwriting from initial sourcing to closing of the deal

 

  • Experience working with state and local governmental agencies.

 

  • Knowledge, use and understanding of Microsoft Project, Powerpoint and Excel

 

  • Good understanding of residential and hospitality construction, municipality relations, plan reading, etc.

 

 

 

 EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

 

  • 5-7 years of work experience and a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in real estate development/ construction field.

 

  • Coordinate and review the work of various disciplines (scope of work, project requirements, project timeline)

 

  • Interacting with outside contractors such as Architects, Civil Engineers, Landscape, Utility Consultants, Soils Engineers, & other professionals

 

  • Work together with team to represent company with public agencies: City, County, Water Districts, etc. relative to plan approval.

 

  • Assist with entitlement processing

 

 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects of schedule and budgets chairing the meeting of all sub-consultants including architects and engineers etc.

 

  • Coordinate and interact with VPs/PMs/department heads of other departments.

 

SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:

 

  • Ability to read construction drawings

 

  • Solid understanding of building systems, construction types/methods

 

  • Hard working, motivated individual with ability to organize and balance a multi-faceted workload in an efficient manner

 

  • Self-starter with eagerness to manage broad range of project responsibilities

 

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels.

 

  • Computer skills required: Excel, Word and Project

 

  • Experience in Bluebeam, Autocad, Revit or other graphic design/drafting software is a plus
