The Regional General Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations of the three properties located in Los Angeles area, overseeing the day to day On-site General Managers responsibilities with a hands on approach to properties needs. Must have ability to provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments while the residential units are converted to suites; provide strategic leadership in the planning regarding the construction/renovation/conversion while maintaining oversight, scheduling and delivery within allocated budget. Must be able to embrace and support the team as required to be able to improve guest satisfaction while maximizing the operations of the properties to obtain profitability. Duties and Responsibilities: Operational
- Oversee the operational functions of all the properties.
- Hold regular briefings and meetings with all the department heads.
- Ensure full compliance to properties operating controls, SOP s, policies, procedures and service standards.
- Create and initiate best practices as needed.
- Handle complaints and oversee service recovery procedures.
- Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the properties and management.
- Closely monitor the properties on a daily basis and make the decisions accordingly.
- Help in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services.
- Act as a final decision maker in hiring a key staff.
- Effective and close coordination with managers and department heads for the execution of all activities and functions on a daily basis.
- Manage and develop the Executive team members to ensure career progression and development
- Develop strong sales prospects by establishing memberships that will benefit the business.
- Responsible for having all required licenses up to date such as Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.
- Manage on-going profitability of the properties, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
- Effectively lead and oversee capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
- A strong understanding of P&L statements.
- Ensure that monthly financial objectives are on target and accurate.
- Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the properties annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
- Deliver ownership s budget goals and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the properties.
- Maximize room yield and properties revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
- Prepare a monthly financial reporting for the owner and executive team.
- Lead in all aspects of business planning.
- Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
- Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits).
