Vice President Healthcare Real Estate – Loan Originations or Risk Management

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop relationships with healthcare loan brokers, investors, borrowers, and operators on a national basis to create a suitable pipeline of real estate lending opportunities including structured debt, bridge loans, mezzanine, preferred equity, and other investment opportunities.   
  • Provide feedback on market conditions, competition, supply/demand dynamics and develop ideas for new products and capabilities.
  • Participate in industry related events (internal and external, conferences, etc.).
  • Work within Formation Lending Group team and with internal/external legal counsel to negotiate term sheets, loan agreements, intercreditor agreements and related legal documentation, as needed
  • Oversee third party activity, including appraisal, environmental, property condition and clinical as it relates to new loan opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years real estate debt or investment experience, including 1-2 years minimum experience in healthcare debt or equity at a national firm in a client facing role (originations or portfolio management) .
  • Experience screening, structuring and closing commercial real estate loans.
  • Quantitative abilities needed as well as general knowledge of debt capital markets.
  • Network of contacts among owners, developers, brokers, financiers, and others active in healthcare real estate.
