Description


Winthrop Management LP, provides comprehensive property management and construction management services for Winthrop Realty Trust, AREA Property Partners, the syndicated partnerships of Winthrop Realty Partners, and a limited number of private ownership groups. Winthrop Management, LP was established in 1975 as a privately held real estate investment management company.

Essential Functions

               

  • Manage a geographically diverse portfolio of real estate related loans.  Current portfolio consists of condo development, condo inventory, office, multi-family, hotel and senior housing
  • Integral part of a growing team.  Encouraged to bring best practices to dynamic growing group
  • Primarily responsible for completing quarterly investor reports, ensuring that component pieces are completed accurately and on time by others in the organization as needed
  • Develop a thorough understanding of assets, markets and industry trends by conducting in-depth research and analysis. Includes tracking of comps and following general industry news on both a domestic and global basis
  • Prepare monthly actual vs. plan variance analysis and communicate results to senior management
  • Monitor loan covenants and compliance
  • Manage and track the progress of lease up and NOI results of loan collateral
  • Analyze complex capital stack sources for real estate development projects
  • Review ongoing monthly construction draws, including availability of flow of funds during construction related to timeline and anticipated future draws, and prepare recommendations
  • Meet strict monthly and quarterly deadlines
  • Externally interact with borrowers, servicers and financing partners (A note holders, loan on loan financers and warehouse line lenders
  • Respond to borrower or investor questions and requests
  • Ad hoc analysis as requested by Management

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of related experience preferably with a loan servicer
  • High level of commercial real estate knowledge
  • Working knowledge of complex construction loans
  • Prior experience with Asset Management or Portfolio Management
  • Strong analytical skills, and experience in financial analysis and modeling
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Real estate valuation Excel modeling experience required
  • Argus experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of NPV and IRR analysis
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in high pressure environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and pitch in where needed

 

Required Education

 

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business or Finance
