Job Responsibilities

 

You are responsible for the overall management of Technical Services for a multi-state and multi-site portfolio of Business Parks/Commercial Properties/Housing and/or other assigned portfolio of properties. You will lead a Technical Services team and 3rd party contractors in providing comprehensive building setup and operations management, financial budgeting and expense controls, technical contract and procurement management for property related services within the property or portfolio. You shall manage project deliverables and act as the focal point for Government Authorities, Business Partners and Tenant service support liaison on Technical matters. You will act as the Project Manager on mechanical systems or other building projects, and should be proficient to fully understand drawing/drafting practices, utilize engineering standards of design, construction and installation and to effectively use a CAD system. You will provide management oversight of preventative maintenance plan/activities to ensure contractors/vendors and technicians meet quality standards, and be a major contributor in developing and maintaining facility construction and design standards. In addition, you should keep abreast of latest technology to further improve cost or performance of facility systems, propose, plan and coordinate capital asset enhancement/upgrade projects. You will ensure health and safety practices are followed closely in all work environments including but not limited to issues related to mechanical, electrical, fire, chemical and other hazards.

 

Job Requirements

 

You should possess a Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services Engineering with at least 5 years of operational and technical facilities experience managing a multi-state and/or multi-site portfolio of high rise commercial, industrial, and/or multifamily properties. To succeed in this role, you should have progressive engineering experiences with good exposures and understanding of facility mechanical systems, good organization, interpersonal and leadership skills. You should also be able to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents, architectural plans, and financial reports. You should also have experience in estimating, project management software and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
