We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Building Automation Team Lead at Apple Park. Our primary responsibility as a team is to ensure the campus is operating at the highest levels of occupant comfort while maintaining critical environments without compromising efficiency.

Close coordination in utilizing the building automation system with all Real Estate & Development groups is expected, including but not limited to the Facility Service Center (FSC), Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), Maintenance & Operations, Critical Services, Global Data Center Services & Energy Efficiency partners.
 

Key Qualifications:
•At least ten (10) years of experience with Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) WEBCTRL building automation systems and the ability to serve as a subject matter expert
•In depth knowledge of building automation system communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks) and the ability to troubleshoot, repair and configure ALC third party equipment
•Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude along with a thorough understanding of control systems and sequences of operation as related to building operation and energy efficiency
•Ability to verify system wide performance criteria, system design specifications and control strategies are met and clearly communicate any deficiencies if they are not met
•Experience in developing standard operating procedures and training programs
•Positioned to operate as a mentor to team members responsible for 24/7 monitoring and dispatching of technical assets in response to facility related issues
•Strongly suited to analyze advanced technical issues and develop both standard and innovative solutions
•Familiarity with securing data integrity and accurately documenting any deficiencies in a timely fashion
•Experience with lighting control systems, Lutron experience preferable
•Experience with all varieties of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems including chilled water central plants, air handling systems, radiant, clean dry air, exhaust, energy recovery, domestic water distribution and monitoring, food service refrigeration and gas monitoring systems.
•Experience with all varieties of commercial electrical systems including back up generators, automatic transfer switches, uninterruptible power supplies, power delivery units and Starline busways
•Familiarity with HVAC and electrical controls installation, field devices and control panel layout
•Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with a constant focus on deadlines
•Excellent organizational, documentation and problem solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills - the ability to distill a relatively complex idea into an easily understood explanation
•Ability to understand project specifications and document discrepancies for resolution
•Openess to responding outside of normal working hours in emergency situations
•Excellent project management skills and the ability to develop detailed project scope to address identified operational issues

Education:
Applicable Building Engineering Experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
LEED Accreditation Beneficial
ALC Certification (Please provide applicable certificate)
Please feel free to provide any additional certifications
 

Additional Requirements:
User experience with Apple products
Experience in network architecture and Cisco networking hardware
