Think of this role as the Product Manager for the Lionstone Analytics and Research product. The Lionstone leadership team has outlined a vision to establish Lionstone as the foremost thought leader in the commercial real estate industry, leveraging data science and advanced analytics. We seek an experienced leader to take that vision and lead a team of diverse professionals to create a well-oiled analytics and research machine, creating cutting edge insights and crafting a real “product” out of it.
Example project 1:
Lionstone has developed a cutting-edge body of work, understanding the U.S. jobs engine more deeply than anyone in the industry. The insights are fresh and the work is sophisticated. We need a leader to marshal the resources of the Lionstone research and analytics team to dig in deeply and mine the work for the most compelling insights. This leader will lead a team to develop two types of product: 1) investment insights. What insights can we use to directly impact our investment decisions? 2) an article for publication. Pulling on expertise at all levels of our organization, lead the work to articulate the most compelling storyline for external publication, to elevate the public profile of the firm.
Example project 2:
Lionstone has better data and deeper insights than most people in the commercial real estate industry. We have a diverse set of colleagues, both within Lionstone as well as the broader Columbia Threadneedle community, that could benefit from these insights. We need a leader to set up a very purposeful cadence of regular collaboration with our various colleagues. The goals here would be: 1) to ensure that our work has maximum impact across the organization and 2) source new ideas for study by interacting with a broad ecosystem of colleagues in the investment management space.
