We are a solutions-driven property management company, managing a portfolio of commercial real estate properties (office).
Responsibilities
• Prepare bank reconciliations and Journal Entries for closing of the month.
• Assist Property Managers in the preparation and follow-up of monthly variances.
• Review aging reports and expense ledgers to identify and recommend monthly accruals and/or potential reclassification.
• Assist property management in producing write-offs, determining bad debt recommendations, completing write-offs, and ensuring the timing and accuracy of move-ins/outs.
• Review and provide support and information for the annual budget.
• Review and provide support with CAM reconciliation.
• Prepare and review quarterly and monthly financial package for owners, investors and lenders including profit and loss statement, balance sheet with supporting reconciliations and schedules, aging reports and other pertinent information.
• Interact with external auditors, provide support with quarterly review and an annual external audit.
• Prepare / review financial reports (balance sheets and income statements).
• Prepare quarterly financial package for distribution to managers and investors.
• Assist in the analysis of operating expenses against budget.
• Maintain effective communication with Property Managers, Assets Managers, and Analyst.
• Fixed assets depreciation and intangible asset amortization.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
Qualifications
• Commercial Property Accountant experience.
• Experience with Yardi (preferred) or any other Accounting software.
• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting preferred.

• Ability to differentiate and match numbers to ensure report accuracy.

• Ability to learn accounting software.

Compensation
$60k - $65k commensurate with experience per year
