Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. (NYSE: HTA) is searching for a Leasing Manager who will be directly responsible for new and renewal leasing in HTA’s Northeast Portfolio, which covers markets in Boston, White Plains, Albany, Pittsburgh, Hartford/New Haven and Baltimore. Candidate is responsible for directly leading and managing the leasing strategy for a portfolio for nearly 4 million square feet of medical office space consisting of multi-tenant properties.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-10 years direct experience in medical and/or commercial office leasing (medical office leasing experience preferred) or health system real estate
- Bachelor’s Degree
- IN Real Estate salesperson’s license (broker’s license preferred)
- 5+ years lease or contract negotiation experience
- Extensive experience with cold calling and canvassing and/or physician recruitment
- Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills
- Above average technical proficiency (versed in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and CoStar)
- Developed interpersonal skills – comfortable working in a team environment
- Top-notch communication skills, both verbal and written
- Affiliation with commercial real estate and/or healthcare industry organizations
- Proven marketing and creative prospecting tactics
- Must be able to travel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading new and renewal lease negotiation and corresponding financial analysis
- Involvement with preparation of all leasing documentation, including but not limited to, leases, amendments, final lease submission packages
- Conducting property tours with potential tenants and brokers
- Preparing and updating marketing materials, including but not limited to, brochures, flyers, stacking plans, floor plans
- Coordinating and facilitating ongoing market survey
- Working within the local brokerage community to develop tenant prospects and to accumulate pertinent market data
- Implementation and oversight of various marketing strategies
- Regularly visiting vacant spaces to ensure “show ready” condition
- Professional interaction with tenants, brokers, hospital clients and organization’s senior management
- Coordinating with other employees to orchestrate and oversee all tenant relations events
