Position description: The individual in this position will be working directly with a senior brokerage team providing support through property analysis, due diligence support, and fact-finding research. The junior broker works with the senior team to provide the clients with excellent customer service to find the space that best suits their needs. The individual will need to either have their Real Estate License or commit to studying for, and taking, the Washington State Real Estate Licensing exam at the beginning of their employment.
Remain current on industry trends and changes so that the most up-to-date information can be presented to clients. Research all aspects of commercial real estate (market trends, market knowledge, leasing knowledge).
Builds a network of internal and external contacts. Begins to foster relationships with outside brokers to obtain market information.
Begins to build confidence with cold calls to eventually execute cold calling.
Committed to gain a profound knowledge of the marketplace and become an industry expert.
Ensures deadlines are met and escalates if deadlines are in jeopardy.
Transitions easily between assignments, responding quickly and efficiently to work requests.
Compiles client tour packages and may show space to clients and conduct building tours.
Stays up-to-date on recent building codes and code changes.
Begins to establish and nurtures business relationships for the purpose of creating future opportunities and developing new business.
Prepares client documentation, offers, reports and other materials as requested by Senior Brokers.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong written and verbal skills. Positive, innovative approach to problem solving. Able to present ideas in a clear, understandable and organized manner; negotiate, and modify opinion to reach the objectives of the team / client.
The ability to work effectively in a high volume, high stress and fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Demonstrated aptitude to solve problems and navigate through obstacles.
The ability to work in a team environment and work independently to meet team objectives.
Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience required, in commercial real estate.
State of Washington Real Estate License required.
