CBRE is looking for a CAD Planner to perform CAD duties for a large Technology Client!

About the role

The CAD Planner will be supporting the Director, Global Design & Workplace Strategy within the Planning and Design team of the Real Estate & Site Services (RESS) Group. This function will support the workplace design team with design-oriented tasks both locally and globally.

What you'll do
  • Develop File management process and manage the global architectural construction As Built drawing library.
  • Work with key collaborators - architects, contractors and designers, internal and external project managers, Real Estate Design & Planning, IT, to ensure updates are accurately integrated, documented, timely and shared with all partners online.
  • Manage the organization of the library.
  • Responsible for space planning with the Design team
  • Responsible for updating CAD drawings.
  • Proficient in applying current local and federal ADA guidelines and codes.
  • Track and manage miscellaneous design-related tasks for Santa Clara campus.
  • Responsible for site walks and space audits to maintain updated floor plans.
  • Partner with the MAC lead to conduct space audit walks and preparation of space for moves, new hires and FlexSpace setups.
  • Support the SC Campus planning team on creating documentation for various planning strategies and presentation decks.
  • Support the CAFM and Planning teams with various Excel reporting and analysis.


What you'll need
  • Requires a degree or diploma in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design firms and/or construction companies
  • Experience working for a technology company appreciated.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills related to document control processes and standards.
  • Architectural and MEP construction drawing expertise
  • Critical to be proactive and detail oriented.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, process improvement and archival skills.
  • Understanding of space measurement techniques as defined by BOMA, IFMA.
  • General expertise in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Serraview, Bluebeam.
  • Enjoys crafting new processes and tools to improve current systems and initiatives.
  • Have a solid understanding of the design and construction process.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple partners, internal team members and collaborators.
  • Manage multiple tasks within constrained time frames.
  • Must exhibit initiative in recognizing gaps in approach and develop solutions to fill those gaps.
  • Strong verbal, graphic and written communication skills.


EQUAL PAY DISCLAIMER

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $118,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit programs.
