USAA Real Estate is spinning out its private wealth division into a new, disaffiliated company.  Newco will register as both an investment advisor and broker/dealer and will focus on managing and distributing fund of real estate funds primarily through the registered investment advisor and bank trust platforms channels.

Job Description

USAA Real Estate is seeking an experienced professional to be a trusted marketing and communications partner to specifically focus on and service USAA Real Estate Private Wealth. The Manager will collaborate closely with a diverse set of stakeholders to lead digital marketing and communications initiatives designed to connect with existing and prospective clients.  

 

The Digital Marketing Manager will coordinate all aspects of promotional campaigns for USAA Real Estate Private Wealth, a solutions-oriented platform that offers private real estate investment products to wealth managers for high-net-worth individuals (“Accredited Investors”). 

 

USAA Real Estate is a dynamic, real estate investment management firm that provides strategic equity and debt capital across the risk spectrum for a global institutional client base, managing over $36 billion in net assets under management within a diversified portfolio across North America and Europe. New investors in the Private Wealth program have the opportunity to now participate in strategies previously limited to USAA Real Estate’s institutional investors.

 

The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, while successfully managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines simultaneously. 

 

Essential Duties

  • Increase brand awareness through development of creative concepts and content for integrated marketing projects in digital and traditional communication channels;
    • Generate and maintain website(s), social media, email marketing, business presentations, reports, and brochures
    • Create and maintain fund-specific materials (e.g., fact sheets, sales presentations, performance updates)
  • Coordinate with senior leadership and oversee third-party digital marketing firm to develop and execute consistent customer experience across all channels
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance by leveraging reporting tools and data from third-party digital marketing firm to measure key metrics and recommend adjustments to enhance results
  • Develop subject matter expertise to proactively ensure strategy is aligned and consistent with business objectives and market trends, employing deep product and industry knowledge to drive growth.
  • Execute a communications strategy that supports the overall brand, ensuring consistent adherence to brand guidelines across all promotional campaigns and materials
  • Create and manage content calendar
  • Act as primary liaison for PR initiatives to support the brand and marketing strategy
  • Ensure internal and external communications messages are consistent across all channels
  • Facilitate the compliance approval process, in conjunction with Chief Compliance Officer, for all digital marketing, monitoring changing regulations and how these are reflected in marketing materials
  • Develop strategic narratives and messaging, and drive creative direction and data visualization
  • Work cross-functionally and closely with business leaders to understand goals for each project
  • Proactively generate ideas, organize priorities and effectively project manage to ensure high-quality, accurate, timely and on-budget deliverables
  • Contribute to team-wide/corporate marketing initiatives that are integral to the company's success
  • Perform other essential duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Marketing, Communications, English or Business
  • Minimum of five years of marketing communications experience, with specific background in digital marketing and paid media campaigns, preferably in the financial services/investment management and/or commercial real estate sectors
  • Experience crafting and editing high-quality communications from start to finish with outstanding attention to detail
  • Knowledge of retail financial services sector, including with registered products and applicable FINRA regulations impact on public communications
  • Background in analyzing KPIs and data to identify potential trends and shift campaign strategies when warranted
  • High level of independence, energy and integrity; track record of effective collaboration and relationship building with internal stakeholders, event organizers, agencies and other 3rd parties
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate budgets and effectively manage expenses
  • Creative thinker and strategic writer with ability to translate complex topics into design and storytelling
  • Prefer an expert level command of leading presentation software (specifically PowerPoint)
  • Strong project management skills with ability to make decisions independently
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects a with a demanding timeline and able to keep calm under pressure
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex topics, visualize data
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%
