FINANCIAL SERVICES INTERN (PUBLIC & PRIVATE FINANCE)

 

Kosmont Companies is offering a paid educational internship opportunity as a part-time, short-term position.

 

Kosmont Companies is a respected award-winning advisory services and transaction firm offering a full range of real estate and economic advisory, project finance and planning services for both the public and private sectors.

 

Kosmont Companies is currently seeking an eager, intelligent, persistent, and capable intern to work closely and directly with senior personnel to work on marketing and business development endeavors, coordinate and manage municipal bond financings for public agency clients and work on a variety of projects in the field of public/private economic development, real estate, and public finance transactions. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to handle multiple assignments and tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment that requires strong analytical, mathematical, and oral and written communication skills to perform the following functions and tasks:

 

Obtaining Business:

  • Assist with proposal writing
  • Participate in marketing calls and meetings
  • Assist with preparation of marketing materials
  • Track and monitor status of various client prospects
  • Analysis of outstanding bonds for potential refinancing Transacting Deals:
  • Creation of custom financial models to analyze client/project revenues, expenses, and credit to structure deals
  • Run bond cashflows with specialized municipal bond structuring software
  • Coordinate data and information flow among financing team members Managing Municipal Bond Financings:
  • Arrange and manage group calls, video conferences and meetings
  • Create and maintain deal participant lists
  • Create and maintain deal financing schedules
  • Perform credit analysis via research and financial modeling
  • Assemble deliverables such as comparable sales analyses and post-sale transaction reports
