Miami Position: 

Cain is seeking to expand its Miami team and is seeking an analyst to be based in Miami and support its existing portfolio and continued growth in the South Florida market. Currently, Cain’s portfolio in South Florida consists of six projects that include office, residential, hospitality, land, and a multi-phased / master-planned site in various stages of development. This includes three high-profile ground-up developments currently under construction: (1) 830 Brickell, a Class A trophy office tower which will include over 625,000 square feet of Class A office space, (2) Missoni Baia, a 249-unit luxury condo development in Miami’s Edgewater submarket, and (3) Una Residences, a 136-unit luxury condo development in South Brickell. Cain also owns a future residential development site in Edgewater and is overseeing the redevelopment of the Delano Hotel in South Beach. In addition, in August 2020, Cain became the largest landowner in the urban core of Ft. Lauderdale by investing in a nearly 7-acre site as a co-GP. This site will be part of a multi-phased development, with Tower 1 breaking ground in 2022.

Responsibilities: 

• Play a key role in team overseeing the execution of Cain’s Miami development projects, working closely with senior professionals on financial analyses and other reports.
• Underwriting, evaluating, and structuring commercial real estate equity investments across all asset classes throughout the US.
• Assist with any major transactions, such as construction financings, refinancing’s, recapitalization, or sales processes, including assembling and updating due diligence materials, closing statement reviews, and maintain centralized access for materials.
• Create and maintain financial asset management models to track project progress relative to business plan.
• Formulate operational business plans in advance of each project’s grand opening.
• Monitor construction/development progress.
• Prepare detailed research of key macro and micro trends within the US real estate markets and beyond.
• Review and analyze construction progress reports and attend key construction meetings.
• Review and assemble capital calls and loan requisitions to ensure the adequate and timely funding for all development projects
• Execution of transactions in addition to ongoing and active portfolio management. Oversee internal processes including pipelines, origination networks and investor communications.


Qualifications: 

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in real estate, economics, or finance preferred.
• Ideally 0.5-3 years of commercial real estate or finance experience with an investment firm, REIT, brokerage, bank, real estate advisor, or insurance company.
• Excellent real estate financial modeling skills, specifically proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Superior writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with a commitment to providing a high-quality work product.
• Well organized, accurate, detail oriented and thorough, and able to consistently meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Argus software helpful.
