The TRTX Capital Markets team directs all equity and debt capital raising, loan syndication and sales, loan pricing, treasury, liquidity management, and other market-related activities in support of the Company’s investment activity. TRTX’s Portfolio Management team directs hands-on asset management, portfolio valuation (including estimated credit loss reserves), risk management, portfolio construction and rebalancing (including loan sales), and supports asset-level and corporate finance activity.


Responsibilities:
- Liaise between investment, capital markets, and asset management teams to pledge new and existing loan collateral to repurchase facilities, collateralized loan obligations (CLO) and other financing arrangements
- Prepare trade confirmation statements for:
o Pledging new loans to corporate credit facilities
o Funding existing loan draws on corporate credit facilities
o Revolving borrowings up or down on credit facilities
- Support senior capital markets professionals covering current and potential capital providers, including preparation of marketing materials and data rooms
- Compile loan draw documentation and upload supporting information to repo counterparties for review and approval
- Execute quarterly loan valuation process to determine Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) reserve, and quarterly loan risk ratings
- Update quarterly presentation materials for lender meetings, prepare quarterly investor reports for TRTX’s CRE CLOs, and prepare CLO compliance reporting packages
- Identify optimal CLO reinvestment strategies, and manage CLO reinvestment process by preparing ASRs, data tapes, and exception reports for rating agency submission and approval
- Coordinate third party engagements (appraisal, engineering) for new loan originations
- Perform monthly analysis and reconciliations of waterfalls for all borrowing arrangements, interest income and expense, and basic loan portfolio attributes


Key Skills and Attributes
- Operational experience in real estate lending, securitization, syndication, capital markets, trading, or loan asset management
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Well-developed writing, financial analysis, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with commercial real estate underwriting and valuation principles
- Experience with repurchase, CMBS and/or CLO structures desirable, but not essential
- Background in accounting or finance helpful, but not required


Experience: 2-4 years in commercial real estate (CRE) lending or investment banking, CRE loan or CMBS trading, CRE loan asset management, commercial banking, or accounting.
