Summary: 

This position provides a unique opportunity to provide closing assistance to the deal origination teams on debt and equity closings, requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.  The Vice President will take direction from the head of Closing and require minimal supervision.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle the loan closing process, in partnership with the deal originations team, on a variety of nationwide commercial real estate loans, preferred equity, and equity deals, which include ground up construction and highly levered transactions, across multiple funding platforms.
  • Oversight of the preparation and distribution the Prospective Borrower/Sponsor Package, and the Welcome Package.
  • Distributes the appropriate Doc Delivery email to Legal Counsel.
  • Engage and/or coordinate receipt and review of third-party documentation, such as the Appraisal, Environmental Reports, Property Condition Reports, Zoning, Cost Analysis, Seismic, and other reports as needed.
  • Review of due diligence items necessary for a loan closing, and ensure closing requirements are met.
  • Review and negotiate in conjunction with the Deal Originations Team, all loan documents required for loan closing.
  • Coordinate and review all KYC related documentation for compliance with PCCP requirements.
  • Prepare and/or review the following:
    • Tax/Insurance Impound Analysis.
    • Lender Closing Statement and Funding Breakdown.
    • The Budget Exhibit for the loan.
    • The Initial Funding, Fee and Third-Party Payment Activity Forms.
  • Audit of the executed core documents for accuracy.
  • Assist Capital Markets team with the secondary close and due diligence follow-up items, which may include many of the above stated tasks and responsibilities.

 



Qualifications

•       Bachelor’s degree is preferred or experience equivalent.

•       Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate loan experience.

•     Demonstrates analytical capability.

•       Displays thorough knowledge of the various types of commercial real estate loans.

•     Identifies the key issues and skillfully analyzes problems to reach clear conclusions.

•     Relates well formally and informally with personnel at all levels.

•     Experience with MS Office programs is required.

•     Detail-oriented with a solid ability to think and communicate strategically.

•     Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.
