RESPONSIBILITIES

Works to understand the local business objectives and ensure the team collaborates and supports Business Lines by using research to drive client-based initiatives.

Provides research and analysis support of commercial real estate markets. The role will encompass certain regular tasks around the collection and analysis of core data, as well as a range of activities that contribute to and support the team's production and delivery of research material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees the collection and analysis of market information regarding the commercial real estate market.

Produces standard Field Research outputs such as quarterly market reports, market stacks and skylines, market overviews, etc.

Engages with market leaders and key brokers to get feedback on research support at the point of sale and identify areas of improvement.

Regularly provides market updates and market activity snapshots to producers during market meetings.

Participates in pitch kickoff meetings and collaborates with marketing/business development for proposal/RFP submissions. Also, collaborates with mapping/GIS team.

May be part of the CBRE team delivering the pitch to the client in some cases.

Works with national leadership to track Field Research engagement at the point of sale and measure value creation.

Celebrates wins and successes with the team and works with national leadership team to socialize wins and best practices.

Typically directly responsible for supervising the work of one or more Analysts.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower-level employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Geography, and a minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.

6+ years of experience in commercial real estate role

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

None.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Tableau.
• Knowledge of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology.
• Knowledge of Company research systems as well as internal and external information sources

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
