About The Job:

As Head of Transaction Management for Avenue One, you will be accountable for developing and scaling the purchase operations & transaction management of thousands of single-family homes per month. You will be responsible for managing an internal Transaction Management team as well as building and overseeing external broker partner relationships across multiple MSAs. You will be an integral part of the Avenue One Transaction Management and Operations teams, partnering cross-functionally with Acquisitions, Title & Closings, Product, Technology and Data, among others to deliver a frictionless and scalable transaction experience. This role will be highly visible throughout the organization and requires proven leadership experience, strong executive presence, real estate transaction experience, and a mindset towards innovation. 

At Avenue One You Will:
  • Learn the Avenue One process of acquiring a single-family home and each vertical function necessary to deliver product 

  • Evaluate the current workflow and processes, and make recommendations to reduce friction and optimize for scalability

    • Develop institutional-level, scalable transaction management processes and procedures beginning from the end of the underwriting phase to “closed and funded” 

  • Evaluate the current partnerships with local brokers across numerous MSAs and offer recommendations to improve efficiencies and scale

  • Identify future broker partnerships that will allow Avenue One to continue to acquire hundreds of homes per month in numerous markets. Stand-up onboarding process for new partnerships

  • Responsible for overseeing the Transaction Management tasks for new market roll-outs including: pre-screen and interview potential new broker partners, select and sign on brokers, negotiate legal documents along side Legal, ensure all Agreements are executed, and ensure all technology is set up 

  • Refine broker partner training program for our bidding processes and platforms. Assess current partners and re-train when necessary 

  • Create a long-term strategy to build an Avenue One in-house brokerage in which you will oversee and operate

  • Drive accountability of team performance through utilization of metric driven results

Ideal Qualifications: 
  • 7+ years experience in real estate, ideally with acquisitions or transaction experience in a large organization. Single-family experience preferred. 

  • Active real estate broker license, ideally in some or all of the following states:, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas

  • Proven ability to build and manage vendor relationships across multiple markets

  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading teams; experience managing remote teams is a plus

  • A self-driven and enthusiastic leader with a consistent record for delivering results

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ultimate comfort with transparent accountability and frank communication

  • Travel required as needed to effectively manage distributed Avenue One team and partners

  • Job is remote; Candidates located in Florida, Georgia, or Texas is a plus
