The City of Fargo, ND is excited to announce we are seeking a Planning Coordinator – Long Range Planning. This full-time position oversees the Long-Range Planning division of the City’s Planning & Development department.

The Planning Coordinator – Long Range Planning provides leadership and direction to advance the development and administration of plans, ordinances, programs, policies and strategies relating to the management, maintenance and enhancement of the physical and community development efforts of the City. The director reports to the Assistant Planning Director.
Minimum Qualifications
The job requires advanced education equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Urban or Regional Planning, Public Administration, or a Professional Degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture or specialist certification, plus minimum 4 years of related work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job. Previous municipal planning experience, including responsibility for project or grant administration is preferred. AICP certification preferred or on pathway to seek certification. A driver’s license or other evidence of mobility is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $75,442-$98,093 annually. Excellent benefit package to include a defined benefit pension plan.
