Financial Analyst

Austin-based real estate development and acquisitions firm is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Development group. The position will report to the Managing Director of Development in Austin and will support the firm’s development and investment activities. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Supports underwriting process for potential acquisition and development opportunities utilizing Microsoft Excel (DCF, NPV, IRR).
• Analyzes opportunities and risks associated with new investment and development deals.
• Performs all necessary underwriting responsibilities to determine asset pricing including the analysis of income and expense projections, site analysis and selection, and review of comparable properties and transactions.
• Collaborates with senior management in the review of underwriting for potential investment opportunities.
• Supports the due diligence efforts and investment memo preparation required for successful acquisition of land sites and investment properties.
• Collaborates with development, asset management, accounting, and leasing teams and conducts periodic underwriting updates and scenarios throughout the life cycle of an investment. 
• Conducts market research and competitive set analysis.
• Supports the firm's investor relations efforts with regard to both debt and equity capital sources.
• Maintains a deep working knowledge of target markets.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and relevant real estate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Excel required.  Working knowledge of markets in Texas a plus with both multifamily and single-family underwriting experience.
