Senior Manager, Billing Operations

Job Description

OVERVIEW

CoStar is seeking a Senior Manager of Billing Operations who will lead all billing operations for the non-core brands and acquisitions. Looking for a highly motivated, results driven individual accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with process improvement and design of best-in-class billing processes and practices is essential. This position will also play a critical role in the system enhancements as needed to achieve the department objectives and goals including the implementation of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (Oracle Cloud.) This leader will also closely coordinate and partner with CoStar's IT team on data quality and system matters related to core Enterprise (or CRM) system. This individual should also have experience developing and leading teams including hourly and salaried employees and partnering with sales team to deliver results.

Looking for specific experience in a (i) high volume subscription billing environment (ii) heavy quality assurance and analysis over billing processes, (iii) metrics development to measure productivity and accuracy, (iv) business process design, system implementations and change management, (v) international operations is a plus, and (vi) Oracle Cloud.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead all billing for the non-core brands and acquisitions
  • Preparation and review of periodic (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.) operational and financial metrics/results/trends
  • Participation in monthly close data to support financial reporting process as needed
  • Assist in the implementation of an accounting ERP system to including all billing functions
  • Strong quality assurance procedures and feedback process
  • Assist with integration for acquisitions
  • Work with external auditors and facilitate review of processes and outputs
  • Assist with special projects within department or as part of cross-functional teams
  • Participate in the successful delivery of billing of over $2 billion in revenue and 1 million customer invoices annually
  • Development and training of team
  • Continuous improvement in business processes
  • Oversight of business processes and key controls including SOX compliance responsibilities
  • Strong partnership with sales and IT to deliver quality results


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.A. in Accounting, Management or other related degree is required
  • 15 years or more experience in financial operations will be ideal
  • Direct leadership of high-volume billing team in a public company environment
  • ERP implementation experience, Oracle
  • Subscription Billing experience including credit card billing knowledge
  • Experience in metrics development for measuring throughput, accuracy, and quality
  • Prior experience in financial operations and process improvement


PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Experience in Lean or Six Sigma is preferred
