CBRE Investment Management, a part of CBRE Group, is a real asset focused asset manager with over $124 billion in assets under management, serving primarily institutional clients across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

Job Description:

Accounting Manager to join global controllership team. Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting process. Help coordinate key deliverables from accounting teams in several regions and responsible for complex items. Reports to the Global Controller for CBRE Investment Management. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a sound knowledge of U.S. GAAP, excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to improve and streamline processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review various monthly and quarterly complex journal entries including compensation and carried interest/incentive related accruals and global allocation entries.
  • Reconcile and review key high and medium risk balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Analyze transactions to determine accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain, document and review processes for internal controls.
  • ledger.
  • Coordinate various intercompany transactions related to compensation and global shared service functions.
  • Help with requests related to quarterly and year-end financial reporting, external audit, and internal control review.
  • Analyze accounting variances and prepare commentary.
  • Prepare ad-hoc requests for leadership.
  • Asses current practices and procedures and design improvements and global standardization.
  • Opportunity to participate in various projects including system implementations and enhancements.

Qualifications:

5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Knowledge of U.S. public company internal control and reporting requirements. Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate across functional areas and geographic regions. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite applications. Experience with other financial systems. Ability to design and produce various ad- hoc reports.

Preferred qualifications:

Financial services experience, particularly fund accounting or asset management accounting Compensation accounting experience

Experience working in a multinational company or a matrix reporting structure

CPA w/ Big 4 public accounting experience

Familiarity with PeopleSoft
