Trinity Capital Advisors focuses on the acquisition and development of institutional-quality commercial real estate in the southeastern United States. The firm has invested more than $3 billion acquiring and developing more than 21 million square feet of the most successful workplace real estate projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida, including CBD office towers, industrial portfolios, suburban office parks, and mixed-use developments. Investments are capitalized through various Trinity Capital investment vehicles and partnerships with some of the country’s top institutional investors. 

Trinity Capital Advisors is seeking an experienced and highly motivated SR. Real Estate Analyst to join our team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting senior investment team members in every aspect of the acquisition, development, and disposition process. Further, the candidate will work with the asset management team to maximize the performance, value and returns of existing portfolio investments. To successfully meet this objective, the Sr. Analyst will:

  • Develop an intimate understanding of the Firm’s existing and target real estate markets and a thorough understanding of each local economy’s various demand drivers;
  • Determine capital investment feasibility by developing and maintaining detailed investment pricing models in Argus and Excel, calculating various financial performance metrics including present value, IRR, partnership cash flow, and other real estate financial analyses;
  • Perform detailed reviews of property operating histories, broker packages, tenant leases, tenant credit analyses, physical site inspections, etc;
  • Create investment committee presentations, formulate investment theses, analyze markets, comparables, competitive sets, etc;
  • Assist in capital raising initiatives related to both debt and equity, as well as analyzing historical investment performance and return data, portfolio metrics, concentration levels, etc;
  • Independently lead due diligence efforts including all financial, economic, physical, structural, market and leasing for prospective investments;
  • In collaboration with accounting, property management, asset management and investment team members, assist in preparation and oversee the execution of the annual business plans for each property including development of leasing objectives, operating and financial budgets, and capital projects;
  • Interface on a daily basis with numerous counterparties including but not limited to – investment partners, lenders, investment brokers, leasing brokers, property managers, accountants, LP investors, etc;
  • Due to the Firm’s entrepreneurial culture, the analyst’s responsibilities will evolve over time as the candidate gains experience to encompass every aspect of the investment management process
Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess at least 2 years of relevant experience in real estate investment management, investment banking, finance or brokerage.

The candidate should be familiar with the principles of asset valuation, the investment process, asset management and transactional real estate markets. 
Strong organizational skills in addition to excellent quantitative, written and verbal communication skills are required. Excellent computer and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Argus, are a must. 

The position is based in Charlotte and will involve some regional travel.
