Description


Physicians Realty Trust is looking for a Regional (CRE) Project Manager to manage and perform the following functions throughout the "DOC" portfolio of properties (Medical Office Buildings):

  • Architectural | Coordinate multiple levels of architectural programming, schematic plan development and review of final plan and specifications related to tenant improvement, common area and building capital projects.
  • Capital Project Management | Initiate, drive and proactively manage capital project management and construction administration.
  • Building Engineering and Technical Services | Provide diagnostic and system review to building envelope, roof, and mechanical systems.
  • Sustainability | Drive and integrate Physicians Realty Trust environmental stewardship to building design, and operational strategies in alignment with the Environmental Management System (EMS)

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively innovative best practices to drive consistency, quality, and value in the performance of their responsibilities
  • Manager is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, programs, and best practices that will ensure well-managed capital project management and related technical services that are performed at properties within approved budgets and which conform with DOC's overall approved business plans
  • Availability 24/7, when project/task required, to respond in a timely manner to urgent issues and critical project milestones.
  • Project and related responsibilities include the entire DOC portfolio and may require travel greater than 25%, including overnight and multiple day trips
  • The Manager needs to be proficient at multiple levels of construction project management, administration, architectural planning, management, and execution including building technical service management
  • Manage third-party construction and building service teams effectively to provide them with the necessary tools and assistance to successfully construct, renovate, and maintain buildings in conformance with tenant expectations, lease requirements and applicable healthcare regulations and in a market competitive manner
  • Responsibility for coordinating/contributing to the preparation of construction and building service (primarily electrical, plumbing, mechanical, elevator, and fire/life safety) specifications, capital improvement contracts including a final review and recommendation for approval
  • Provide review of architectural, construction specification, property condition and vendor service documents
  • Consistently drive input and updates to capital improvement planning, execution, and building maintenance management strategy. Identify and recommend capital improvements based upon data from property condition reports, building maintenance management systems, vendor service reports, recommendations from property management teams and direct field inspection

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in architecture, interior design, engineering, construction management or related field and commensurate technical training experience
  • 10+ years of applicable experience in architectural/construction program development, commercial real estate construction/renovation/maintenance administration including supervision of multi-disciplined architectural, engineering, general contracting and building service companies
  • Strong communication skills, ability to problem solve, keen attention to detail, and highly organized
  • Healthcare real estate experience a plus
