Job Description

Campus Apartments is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst to join its Portfolio Analytics & Reporting team. The Analytics team works primarily with Asset Management, but also works closely with virtually every other area of the organization as investments and projects arise. Consequently, this is a tremendous opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to private commercial real estate investment.

The Analyst will be joining a fast-paced and growing team. As a result, there will be lots of opportunity for the Analyst to make an immediate impact with meaningful contributions of their own. This position will be highly visible to members of the senior executive leadership team.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and/or independently work on the following reporting responsibilities:
    • Maintaining existing reports:
      • Proprietary market and asset-level leasing intelligence reports.
      • Maintain weekly and monthly operational Dashboards and KPIs.
      • Tracking historical and projected asset-level and fund-level performance.
    • Developing new reports per requirement, which includes but not limited to data analysis, data visualization and dashboard design, etc.
  • Assist and/or independently work on all phases of the budgeting process for current assets and newly acquired/developed assets.
  • Financial Modeling: participate in the development and maintenance of asset-level financial models and analyses, including discounted cash flows, waterfall modeling, IRR analysis, NPV analysis, scenario analysis, etc.
  • Perform other Ad Hoc tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have an interest in Commercial Real Estate and exceptional raw technical ability.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an extraordinary work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
  • 1-2 years of experience in related field. Internship and/or co-op experience count.
  • Financial modeling experience a plus.
  • Experience writing VBA scripts for Excel preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. Master’s degree a plus.
