- Located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, we are a well-capitalized Commercial Real Estate Investment Firm with a primary focus on retail properties. We are currently seeking an Asset Manager to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Approve weekly disbursements for the properties.
- Assist with the processing of new leases and lease renewals.
- Verify calculations of lease commissions.
- Request reimbursement from loan reserves for fixed asset and leasing expenditures.
- Keep Track of loan reserve balances and reimbursement requests.
- Review Tenant CAM, Tax, and Insurance True-Up billings.
- Review annual property budgets.
- Coordinate property tax challenges with consultants.
- Coordinate insurance renewals with our insurance broker.
- Review and resolve any insurance issues.
- Perform preliminary review of monthly financial reports.
- Monitor bank accounts.
- Review annual parking garage budget, monthly parking garage reports, and expenses.
- Assist CFO and CEO with special projects, as needed.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a real estate investment firm, preferably with retail emphasis.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, or related field is preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-moving work environment.
- Understanding of real estate fundamentals, financing principles, and basic capital structures.
- Working knowledge of legal documents including leases and loan documents.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles is preferred.
- Strong problem solving and analytical capacities.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Proficiency in Argus, PowerPoint, and Yard is preferred.
