Job Title:                    Asset Management Analyst (Temporary to Permanent)
Department:               Project Development
Reporting:                  Director, Project Development

 

As a result of COVID, this position will be temporary for 3-6 months and transition to a full-time position based on performance and department needs. All staff are currently working remotely and anticipate transitioning to a hybrid schedule this summer based on on the vaccine distribution.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the actively monitoring projects within the company’s existing portfolio of loans (18 projects, $1.2Bn outstanding) and CACP’s six (6) active equity investments.  The successful candidate will be responsible for all asset management functions including collecting and organizing project-related information including spending invoices, project update and financial reports, and other project-related information.  Additional responsibilities will include compiling property and portfolio-level reports for internal use and drafting regular progress reports to investors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of all projects within the investment portfolio
  • Active tracking of each project’s progress, collecting and organizing detailed project-level spending information and other financial information for each portfolio investment
  • Produce property-level reports including budget-to-actual analyses and updated proforma projections along with portfolio roll-up reports for internal tracking
  • Draft, compile and distribute annual and quarterly investor reports and manage schedule of required reports
  • Prepare, maintain and manage cash flow and underwriting models for asset performance for property and/or portfolio
  • Perform ongoing Market Research within relevant markets

Core Competences

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills including proven financial modeling experience with Excel
  • Understanding of real estate fundamentals, financing principals and capital structures
  • Balance of assertive and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong business writing (drafting and editing reports, memos, etc)
  • Organizing skills to collect and track large volumes of data 
  • Ability to multi-task effectively to meet internal deadlines
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Remote working skills (work both independently and as a team player, timely and clear communication via all channels, initiate communicate amongst teams, etc)
  • Knowledge of and experience with FHA and HUD financing products a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of DealPath a plus

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of prior full-time Asset Management experience required.

Start Date: ASAP

 

Compensation: Annual hourly and salary range commensurate with relevant experience and education. Annual merit bonus based on supporting department metrics. Fully-paid employee medical and dental insurance coverage and paid time off once position becomes permanent. After one year of full-time employment, participation in our 401K plan is available.
