Asset Management Associate / Analyst

The Opportunity

The Milestone Group is a leading national real estate investment firm focused on the U.S. multifamily sector. The firm relies on rigorous research, analytics and active investment management which the firm has combined to deliver industry leading returns over the last 18 years and across $8 billion of real estate investments.

Milestone is looking for a dynamic individual to join its asset management team as the firm anticipates growing its assets under management by $2 billion over the next three years. As our Asset Management Associate/Analyst, you will be a key team player in the operations and asset management activities of the firm’s multifamily assets. The successful candidate will be excited to leverage their strong analytical skills, understanding of financial concepts and real estate knowledge to be an effective team member across an array of responsibilities in our asset management team.

You will

• Be a key member of the firm’s asset management team through analyzing asset operations and performance compared to budgets, market and sub-market data
• Monitor property leasing trends, occupancy and rent collections
• Track capital expenditure projects and assist the asset management team in formulating and implementing property business plans and interior unit upgrade plans

• Assist asset management in the analysis, preparation and presentation of quarterly asset reviews, investor reports, asset reforecasts and annual budgets
• Work closely with the firm’s asset management and acquisitions teams to assist during the due diligence process and onboarding of potential investments

You have

• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience in multifamily real estate operations or investments is required
• Previous experience with Yieldstar, RealPage BI and RealPage AIM is a plus
• Demonstrated comfort with multitasking and an ability to thrive in a fluid and fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and an ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
• Poise and an ability to interface with senior management, investors, brokers and other industry professionals
• Willingness to travel if needed

Title and compensation are commensurate with experience.
