Our client, an established and growing real estate fund in Austin, TX, would like to add an Associate to their healthcare vertical. This role will be focused on both medical office acquisitions and asset management, and have the opportunity to work on the firm’s new life sciences strategy. The firm focuses on both acquisitions and development in medical office, senior living, student housing, work force housing, self-storage and education related properties. They have a young, tight-knit, collegial team and offer a significant opportunity for career growth.
Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in real estate investment banking, real estate private equity, REITs or developers/operators. Outstanding Excel and Argus skills and the ability to handle complex issues are required. Candidates will perform financial modeling and analysis on new and existing asset investments, conduct due diligence, market research and competitive analysis for real estate acquisitions, evaluate the performance of assets against budget and pro-forma, make hold/sell/refinance portfolio recommendations and prepare and distribute periodic portfolio reports. Candidates should have a diligent work ethic with ability to take initiative and comfortably work in a fast-paced environment with simultaneous ongoing projects. A personal connection to Texas is highly desirable. This is an immediate hire. MBAs will not be considered.
