Bond Companies is a leading real estate development and investment firm with offices in Los Angeles and Chicago. Our team is growing, and we have an immediate need for a full-time Development Analyst in our Chicago office.

The company’s focus is on multi-family acquisitions and development. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who is friendly, dynamic, energetic, team oriented, well-organized and dependable. You will work directly with our core acquisition and development team including the Chairman, President, VP of Development, Project Manager, and Accounting team. Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in underwriting investment and development opportunities in core markets.
  • Prepare, update and maintain financial models.
  • Collect market data, including analyzing markets and conducting rent studies.
  • Prepare internal investment committee presentations and assist on presentations for our lenders and partners.
  • Analyze cash flow projections and operating expenses, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Assist with project budgets and schedules, and occasionally, project management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum 2-3 years of relevant real estate experience with background in underwriting both existing and to be built multifamily projects with specific experience in:
    • Financial modeling including DCF, IRR, NVP and other metrics
    • Experience in advance functions of Excel such as lookup tables and database functions
    • Underwriting
    • Due diligence
    • Market research
    • Writing offering memorandum
    • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MS preferred in real estate or finance preferred. Engineering undergraduate degrees are also desired.
  • Fundamental understanding of real estate development and the development process and/or the acquisition process for value-add multifamily properties.
  • High energy, self-starter, and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong communication skills and intellectual curiosity are a must.
