Vice President, Loan Asset Management

Silverstein Capital Partners (“SCP”) is Silverstein Properties real estate lending venture that provides financing for all major product types in growing urban markets throughout North America. Leveraging over 50 years of real estate experience, SCP provides senior loans, bridge loans, subordinate loans, and rescue capital to borrowers on shovel-ready ground-up construction, heavy value-add repositioning, land, and inventory loans.

SCP is seeking an outstanding individual to join its team as a Vice President of Loan Asset Management.  The position will work alongside colleagues in Originations, Portfolio Management, Construction Management, Risk Management, Investor Relations, Legal and Accounting and oversee third-party servicers, consultants and other vendors.  The role is focused on ensuring compliance with borrower and lender obligations, and corresponding with borrowers, JV partners, co-lenders and other counterparties.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Monitor loans to ensure borrower, guarantor and lender compliance with loan documents.
• Review disbursement requests, monitor draw procedures and manage flow of funds.
• Monitor construction loans including review of budgets and loan requisitions.
• Attend on-site construction inspections and coordinate construction review with internal construction team and external construction consultants.
• Perform financial analysis, monitor income, budgets, cash flow and other loan and property metrics.
• Prepare and maintain asset/portfolio cash flow models, IRR calculations, and loan status reports.
• Oversee third-party servicers to ensure timely and correct invoicing, loan balances, and reporting accuracy.
• Oversee third-party loan valuation to ensure correct and timely delivery to partners.
• Respond to all borrower, partner, co-lender and other counterparty inquiries.
• Onboard new loans including collection of all necessary loan documents and contact information to ensure a complete and accurate loan file and transition to custodians and servicers.
• Prepare asset management memorandums highlighting key deal points to monitor throughout life of the loan.
• Manage loan file through maturity including all ongoing loan documentation and reports.
• Maintain and utilize SCP’s data system for assigned assets ensuring both accurate and timely loan information is securely stored.
• Work with in-house and outside legal counsel to identify and resolve legal issues efficiently and effectively.
• Assist with reporting to JV partners, co-lender and other counterparties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in real estate, finance, business, accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience within a real estate lending platform, investment bank, servicer, or institutional real estate fund.
• Outstanding proficiency in creating and maintaining financial models for real estate using excel.
• Excellent understanding and experience in all aspects of construction lending.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work in a challenging, fast paced environment and handle multiple projects at the same time.  Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
