Director of Acquisitions and Development

A national real estate development and investment family owned company is currently seeking a Director of Acquisitions and Development. 

The Director of Acquisitions and Development will be responsible for locating and researching new site development for Apartment complexes. 

The duties of the DOA will be to identify site acquisition for apartment buildings, will do the market research, site density study, concept design/product mix, zoning entitlements and government approvals, feasibility studies, development projections, and investor packages. This position will be located in Tampa, Florida.  

The position includes leading the due diligence process for each development Including researching locations and land positions that will fit the model and the product, underwriting the specific developments/projects. 

This position is responsible for the market pipeline and will lead in the procurement of entitlements, utility approvals and project closing documentation. This person will work in conjunction with various team members including Construction Operations, Land Development, Sales and Marketing through the planning and execution of multiple projects across multiple markets. Must be able to travel.

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in acquisitions and development with a proven track record of performance. 

Bachelor’s degree, minimum in finance, accounting, business administration with an emphasis in real estate

Someone with an MBA or a Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting Real estate or Economics would be a plus.
