Description
Jamestown is recruiting for a Building Engineer at a mixed-use property in Buckhead. The Building Engineer assists with the maintenance and operation of all mechanical equipment, appliances, building-related systems, and routine general maintenance. This position works closely with other Engineers under the supervision of the Chief Engineer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; and
• One to three years of progressively responsible related experience in a commercial property, tenant management setting; or
• Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Perform scheduled maintenance and building repairs, including equipment testing, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance calls, including plumbing emergencies, minor equipment malfunctions, HVAC calls, electrical and lighting repairs, and minor structural repairs (ceiling, floor, door, etc).
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of fire/ life safety systems for the property.
• Perform regularly scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks to ensure all building equipment is functioning properly.
• Respond to emergency calls after hours as directed.
• Promote and maintain safe work practices focusing on overall safety.
• Work with tenants to understand their needs in order to build and maintain positive, productive and professional relations.

Working Conditions:
• Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
