Description
Conducts phone interviews with building service company personnel to ascertain details of building's systems, maintenance history, chronic repairs, status of service contracts, and costs for service contracts and repairs. Assists others in researching and writing portions of reports.
Interviews property contacts, municipal agencies, vendors and other persons familiar with the subject property to gather information relevant to completion of ESA, PCA or client specific scope of work.
Independently researches municipal records, local, state and federal resources and files relevant to the subject property.
Conducts physical site inspections. Gathers and analyzes samples needed to identify issues which may require remediation.
Prepares written reports summarizing findings, explaining and quantifying effects and proposing recommendations.
Addresses client questions and comments regarding the report.
Markets to potential and existing clients.
Completes components of or simple Property Condition Assessment Report in accordance with client prescribed scope of work and at the direction of more experienced staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

Bachelor's of Science in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field and 6 months of environmental experience or a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in architecture, engineering or construction management and 6 months building related experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large group of employees.
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products).
Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
