Description


The Company is a privately-owned, independent real estate investment, development and management firm. The Company has acquired or developed more than $25 billion of property on behalf of various investment funds, institutional clients, and its own account, encompassing all major property types. The Company is based in New York City, with regional offices in Palm Beach and Mexico City.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Acquisitions:


• Prepares accurate, thorough cash flow forecasts and calculates investment returns for prospective acquisitions using Argus and Excel.
• Builds new Argus files and/or modifies Argus assumptions. Runs sensitivities in Argus.
• Imports Argus cash flows into proprietary valuation model.
• Modify valuation model to run sensitivities and develop pro-forma scenarios and pricing strategy.
• Conducts market research and analysis.
• Assists in preparation of reports for investment committee review.
• Provides transaction support including lease review, operating expense review, ongoing Argus modifications, other due diligence and material review and coordination of documents for lender and other third parties.

 

Asset Management:


• Maintains Argus models for properties in existing portfolio.
• Updates files periodically with new leases, market assumptions, etc., and annually with new  year’s budget.
• Provides quarterly cash flow forecasts to asset management team.
• Transitions Argus models for newly acquired property.
• Assists with annual Hold/Sell analyses and quarterly valuations.
• Assists with monthly and quarterly reporting for capital partners.
• Performs ad hoc analyses to assist asset managers, such as lease valuations.  Liaise with property management, accounting and leasing teams.

 

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Real Estate, Economics, Accounting or Finance.
• 2 - 4 years of relevant analyst experience.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and Argus software critical, including strong knowledge of detailed retail and multi-family end lease modeling.
• Understanding of general finance, accounting, leasing and capital market concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to turn financial analysis into concise written and verbal reports.
