This position will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and workpapers, bank reconciliations, monthly reporting, and annual budgets for assigned properties. Compiling and analyzing utility expense information across all projects in the portfolio to track consumption and prices trends to help with budgets and forecasts. Prepare the billings of the OOP for each of the military projects based of the calculations of out of pocket costs for each military installation. Assist with the closing of the other projects during the month end. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment to meet time sensitive deadlines.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Calculate the Out of Pocket Costs for each military Installation for billing
Conduct Utility analysis for all projects across the portfolio. Responsible for the utility budgets across the portfolio.
Conduct Cash Flow Analysis and Forecast Net Operating income based off spending trends of the project for quarterly meetings with upper management.
Perform the month-end close activities including the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled and supporting documentation is attached.
Prepare schedules for quarterly reviews and year-end audit for independent external auditors. Research issues, clarify information, and prepare supporting data.
Prepare annual budgets for properties.
Maintain cash management for properties.
Coordinate with Accounts Payable team for invoicing and weekly check runs.
Assist Controller with quarterly US Census Reporting
Prepare monthly Development reports for upper management.
Assist the controller with reconciliations with corporate receivable accounts with the
3 or more years General Ledger Accounting experience.
Experience with Real Page software system
BS Accounting required with minimum 3-4 years of experience

Proficient with Excel and complicated spreadsheet formulas.
Higher attention to detail.
