The San Francisco Giants are hiring for a Project Manager to join our dynamic and exciting Mission Rock development team. Mission Rock, a partnership between the Port of San Francisco and the San Francisco Giant and Tishman Speyer, is the culmination of eight years of neighborhood outreach and community planning, and will transform a surface parking lot into new affordable homes, jobs, and waterfront open space.
This new position will be a critical role for the entire development team and will be central to the Giants’ work with our development partners and the City and County of San Francisco. The role will focus on delivering outstanding public space, through parks, art, and cultivated activation and placemaking. In addition, this role will project manage various special projects for the development, including our foster youth housing program, retail programming, and business partnerships.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about urban development, the built environment, and community building, and will bring these talents to a small-but-mighty, creative and energetic team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day to day real estate project coordination and communications within the organization.
- Point of contact for construction logistics and site coordination.
- Manage special projects from early planning and budgeting through implementation.
- Establish strong partnerships with business partners.
- Manage project schedule updates and communications.
- Collaborate with multiple internal departments and external partners, including City departments/agencies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- B.S. in Real Estate, Planning, or other related field.
- Minimum of five of years of relevant work experience
- Impeccable integrity and discretion with sensitive materials and negotiations.
- Real estate development and/or construction experience (public, private or non-profit) required; local San Francisco experience a plus.
- Solid customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build internal and external relationships
