Senior Accountant-Servicing

Position Summary: 

ACRES is seeking Senior Servicing Accountant  with 3-6 years of accounting experience preferably in the Commercial Real Estate or Investment Fund industries. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Servicer will be to assist in the development and execution of efficient servicing, closing and post-loan closing, compliance, reporting and procedures of ACRES Capital and its affiliated entities.

  

Responsibilities
The Senior Servicing Accountant will have duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

• Lead ACRES loan servicing process to efficiently and effectively report accurate loan balances and investor positions on a timely basis
• Prepare loan-level cash, escrow and reserve reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, for all servicing related accounts
• Serve as primary liaison to and directly work with outsourced servicing firm(s) to process and report loan activity, loan sales and to disseminate tailored reports to internal departments
• Monitor loan portfolio on an ongoing basis including preparation of internal reporting to ensure transactional integrity
• Review monthly draw packages, reconciliations, funding and recordings
• Prepare monthly capital calls and distributions to respective investors and partners
• Calculate and administer payment of monthly debt service including interest, taxes, insurance, principal and applicable fees
• Assist in the preparation of journal entry and postings for month-end closings (including all back-up support)
• Assist in multiple internal, external and compliance audits
• Report to and manage relationships with third party servicing/banking/brokerage/investment professionals and investment groups.
• Prepare internal management reports
• Special accounting and administrative projects as necessary 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Commercial Real Estate lending, loan servicing and/or Investment Fund experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory accounting
• Mastery of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, organization and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Knowledge of Quick Books a plus
  
  

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.

Minimum 3+ years accounting experience, specifically dealing with structured commercial real estate lending and/or Investment Fund experience
