Job Summary:


Reporting to the SVP, Asset Management, the Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance and reporting for the portfolio. This position encompasses both “big picture” perspective as well as having a “hands on” approach to day-to-day operational issues, customer service and reporting. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
: Include the following but not limited to, other duties may be assigned:

  • Conduct welcome calls on newly funded loans
  • Ensure borrower communication is handled in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
  • Assist asset managers with general servicing matters including payoffs, prepayments, lease reviews, reserves, escrows, draw requests, cash management, financial reporting, inspections, post-closing items, and borrower requests.
  • Complete lien perfection and release processes, as well as maintain ticklers for tracking.
  • Assist internal clients with product and/or servicing process questions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client loan issues.
  • Coordinate and assist with mortgage refinances, modifications, extensions and transfers.
  • Support key investment reporting functions with significant interaction with members of the product and asset management teams, functional areas within the firm and key members of external asset managers serving the Company
  • Assist Asset Managers with the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the portfolio.
  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis on a variety of portfolio and asset management initiatives
  • Performing additional ad-hoc analysis for the portfolio management team
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Must have outstanding initiative and be a self-starter
  • Demonstrate non-linear thinking and have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks
  • Collaborative, team-oriented individual with strong sense of integrity and professionalism
 
Minimum Requirements: The responsibilities listed below are required. Accommodations may be made to enable the individual with disabilities to ensure the individual can perform the essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in a real estate, finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • 5-10 years applicable experience required including a minimum of 2 years in asset management
  • Demonstrated competence with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments, senior management, and investors
